Port Alberni’s 3rd Annual Festival Festival of Trees! November 24th, 2011 – January 6th 2012 Here’s an email I received with all the details! Hello everyone and thank you all for such a fabulous kick off to the 2011 Festival of Trees! A Few Highlights – 19 beautiful trees were decorated on Wednesday November 23rd, and over 100 people were in attendance for the Decorating Reception. – 00 was raised through tree sponsorships and donations, and over 00 was raised that night through the silent auction, draws, treasure chest and your generous bribes. – Hundreds of dollars in gift cards & certificates were collected through the bribing process which will be used to support our families at BC Children’s Hospital. – Baskets of books & toys were sent to the Port Alberni Women’s Resource Society to help out their families, with some of them also heading to BC Children’s Hospital as well. – Our Reception was a big hit thanks to the generous support of The Best Western Barclay Hotel, Circle Dairy, Double R Meats, Quality Foods, Fairway Market & Buy Low Foods. — Van Isle Ford is our People’s Choice Award Sponsor this year, thanks Will. The prize is an Apple iPad 2. Everyone has a chance as this will be a random draw from the ballots that the public has voted with. Each donation to the Festival of Trees is 1 vote for your tree. Therefore, if someone votes for your tree with a donation, you get 10 votes. A Few Special Volunteers to Thank… – Our very hard working …

Our quarterly tech event, aka West Texas Tech Blitz is HQ’s here at Western Technical College in El Paso, Texas. It usually features demos and exhibits from tech industry leaders we work with. Past visitors included Cisco, INX, Microsoft, 3M, and Honeywell. This quarter, however, we are just gonna set our sites on some mad fragging in an all out FPS shootem up gala this Saturday, June 16, 2007!
