Ask The Experts About Online Voting For American Idol

Sandy asks…

What is so great about Ron Paul?

I’ve seen many posts on here about Ron Paul and how great he is. There also seems to be quite a few people on the internet that are pushing for him.
I’ve looked at the issues and researched him and I can’t figure out what the big deal is.
Can some one please tell me what is so great about him since he seems to be a hit online but is going nowhere everywhere else?
It makes me think of that web site that decided to vote for the worst on American idol just to throw a monkey wrench in the works. Could that be what is happening here and will it really cause problems for the real candidates?
Rooster, I’ve seen your copy/paste all over YA. Can you say “in your own words” what it is about Ron Paul instead of parroting some web site?
Answer Man, what would you like to take the place of the Patriot Act?
Univee, I didn’t “forget” what my question was. I was responding to what the poster answered.
Sorry you don’t approve…but then again, it is my post isn’t it?
beesting, thanks for your opinion, and that’s exactly what it is…your opinion.
I don’t need you to make things real simple for me. I’ve done research and I don’t agree with Ron Paul.
Of course, when all is said and done, it doesn’t really matter. He hasn’t got a snowball chance. I haven’t made up my mind yet who my candidate is, but I do know it won’t be him.
Read his newsletter from 1992 and tell me again that he is a true patriot.
beesting, I set no trap. I don’t like Ron Paul’s issues and I was just wondering what people saw in him.
I wasn’t aware I couldn’t question people’s responses.
And since we seem to be getting personal. I thought your response was very condescending. Saying you’d make it real simple and implying since I don’t agree with the Ron Paul crowd, I didn’t know what I was talking about.
His newsletter is available online. That’s were I read it.

admin answers:

Ron Paul is an exceptionally odd politician. His foreign policy is a essentially identical to that of politicians in 1900. Ron Paul is unrealistic, ignorant, and well-meaning. His constant references to the founding fathers is somewhat amusing. He seems to think that any divergence from traditional American political imperative is anathema. Paul’s support on the net stems from his populist rhetoric. Unfortunately the majority of bloggers and internet junkies who support him are habitually blinded by simplistic policies justified by Ron’s bumbling attempt at self-righteous patriotism. I’m a fan of many of his economic beliefs, but his foreign policy (neo-isolationalism) is ridiculous in today’s global economy. The United States emerged as the world’s moral and political leader in the 90′s; to abandon that position would be absurd.

Top Search Engine Rankings for Your Home Based Online Business

We all should know that one of the best ways to get a massive amount of free traffic to our online business websites is by getting a high ranking with the major search engines.

That makes for a great deal of competition for the top positions, so you need to use every ethical angle you can find if you want to be successful. I have outlined three of the best methods that will greatly help you to achieve top search engine rankings.

1. Getting inbound links is essential to getting your home based online business website in the top rankings. Search engines view each link to your website as a vote. Google tells this very plainly at their website. The more votes you have, the more seriously the search engines will view your site.

Exchanging links with other websites is not as beneficial as it once was, but there is still some value to be received, especially for a new site. This needs to be handled with care. You want to exchange with good quality sites, and ones that are both related to yours and will provide value to your visitors.

Submitting your site to directories is also good. This can bring you one way links which have more value. Many directories are free and do not require a link back. These are the ones to choose in the beginning when your budget is small. Later, you can submit to some of the directories that charge a fee if you think it provides value.

Another way to gain inbound one way links is to write articles. Content is highly in demand, and if you write good informative articles you will find many article directories that will accept your articles. The resource box is your key here, so do some research on how to use a resource box, and visit some directories to get a feel for which type of articles are popular in your field.

2. Keyword selection is very important, and should have been one of the basic building blocks both in choosing what you are marketing online, and what keywords you are going to use in the marketing process. Your keywords should be the foundation of your page titles and they should be sprinkled throughout your website copy. You do want to keep some balance and not get too carried away. Too many keywords can get you penalized.

3. The content you provide on your website is very important. The job of the search engines is to provide the best match for what people are searching for online. When you build quality pages of content on your given subject you increase the possibility that the search engines will see the value and send you visitors.

It is also important to keep your website updated. If the information on your website is timely you need to take care to keep it up with the times and changes on the internet.

Add content from time to time to keep both visitors and search engines coming back. Build your home based online business with a good foundation, use these suggestions and you will begin to see the rewards. Do be patient though, it does take a little time and some concentrated good effort.

Work at Home: Using Social Bookmarking to Earn Money Online

While there are countless marketing methods online, few of them level the playing field the way social bookmarking does. Internet marketers who work at home who want to increase their website traffic, so they can earn money online, have become highly smitten with the concept of social bookmarking. However, with all marketing methods there are dos and don’ts that can greatly affect the final outcome of success.

First a brief explanation of what social bookmarking is. Social bookmarking is a way for surfers to find, save, organize, and share their bookmarks of different pages. Contrary to automated resource classification software social bookmarking sites are arranged by humans rather than computerized algorithms. Thus, sites that have more human votes or bookmarks are deemed more valuable than their highly ranked search engine counterparts.

One of the most common social bookmarking mistakes is adding every icon out there to your website or blog. Believe it or not you are not increasing your chances of getting bookmarked. Too many options confuse users. Instead, choose the bookmarking service of communities that best resonates with your reader. If you’re still determined to cater to everyone then opt for a bookmark that drops down or folds out but hides the other options. Another common mistake is heavily submitting your own content.

Submitting your own content seems like the best way to get people in touch with your information, but community users can smell a promoter from a mile away. If every bookmark in your file is of your own brand, you not only look desperate, you also look phony. Can you still submit your site? Yes, I’m not saying don’t bookmark your site. But bookmark and vote on other content as well. Also if you are going to be part of the community and promote your site avoid using your brand or company name as your user name. Try to sound as generic as possible.

Social bookmarking benefits those who put “being popular” and earning money online aside for a minute, and instead focus on genuine participation rather than ridiculous conversation. The truth is many social bookmarking platforms can function without conversation. After all we have forums and live chat for that.

Social media is about the sharing of information. That means that your press releases are not going to fair too well in a community where people are eager to learn or keep up with gossip, and as a reminder all users of social media want this, more importantly though, social media is about the democratization of content. It puts users in control and this is perhaps why it can level out the marketing playing field.

In order to benefit, you have to actively participate by submitting and voting on content that matters to you and other users. You also need to help users along by submitting comments more meaningful than “that was the best article ever!” Like all communities there are those who make an effort to keep it thriving and those who are “just there.” And users can sense it if your just another work at home marketer using them to earn money online and do this by working at home.
