Port Alberni’s 3rd Annual Festival Festival of Trees! November 24th, 2011 – January 6th 2012 Here’s an email I received with all the details! Hello everyone and thank you all for such a fabulous kick off to the 2011 Festival of Trees! A Few Highlights – 19 beautiful trees were decorated on Wednesday November 23rd, and over 100 people were in attendance for the Decorating Reception. – 00 was raised through tree sponsorships and donations, and over 00 was raised that night through the silent auction, draws, treasure chest and your generous bribes. – Hundreds of dollars in gift cards & certificates were collected through the bribing process which will be used to support our families at BC Children’s Hospital. – Baskets of books & toys were sent to the Port Alberni Women’s Resource Society to help out their families, with some of them also heading to BC Children’s Hospital as well. – Our Reception was a big hit thanks to the generous support of The Best Western Barclay Hotel, Circle Dairy, Double R Meats, Quality Foods, Fairway Market & Buy Low Foods. — Van Isle Ford is our People’s Choice Award Sponsor this year, thanks Will.
